Difference Between Vendor Approval & Vendor Registration

Vendor registration and vendor approval for inclusion in Vendor directory

Vendor registration is a process for registration of vendors for supply of trade group items and is independently conducted by stores department. The form for vendor registration and other information can be downloaded from:https://mcf.indianrailways.gov.in/works/uploads/File/MCF%20Vendor%20Registration%20Form_2.pdf.

The process for approval of vendors for inclusion in the MCF’s vendor directory is conducted by Mechanical Design Department. This is carried out in respect to supply of specific items managed in the vendor directory. This is conducted as per the guidelines in MCF document, QMFD-VD-01, Dated: 07.07.2020.
